Wow, what a year it has been for FemFlex. In 2004, we produced and posted more than double the amount of content we did the previous year and the site continues to grow at an exhilarating pace. With the help of contributing photographers such as Jason Orr, Tom Knowles, Michael Saharian, TomNine, Joe Bayer, Jason Hall, Jerroll Photography, and Joe Pellegrini (forgive me if I've omitted anyone), we were able to shoot more models and events than ever before. Professional videographer David Cooper has been a huge addition to the FemFlex team. We first worked together in putting together Crowd Pleasers 2002 and it's great to have him onboard now. He is responsible for creating the Lindsey Boswell and Brenda Smith videos, as well as all the FVF-BodyRock videos. This partnership is one that will be of great benefit to our members in the months and years to come. We were pleased to welcome Courtney Morley to the family as our first full-time sponsoree. But as wonderful as things have been for the site this year, all that means nothing right now as the tragic toll in southeast Asia continues to rise. It's devastation on a scale far greater than anything I've seen in my lifetime and is certainly exponentially greater than anything I've ever experienced.

Tsunami Relief Fund: FemFlex has joined with several other DtV-affiliated websites to set up a fundraising effort using our videos. We're selling downloadable videos and donating 100% of the proceeds to the International Red Cross/Red Crescent for the next few months. That is, 100% of every dollar you spend will be sent to them. Updates: I'm doing my best to keep up with those daily updates during the winter. The feedback has been great (and I appreciate it), so I hope I'll be able to continue. I do not have any current travel plans, so in the foreseeable future, you can expect to see something new every day here at FemFlex.

Trial memberships: As requested, FemFlex is now offering a 7-day, NON-RECURRING trial membership. Unlike sites that automatically roll you into a regular, full-priced membership, our goal here is to give you a good value for your money so that you'll consider becoming a regular subscriber. I hope lots of casual visitors will take advantage of this great deal to see all that FemFlex has to offer.

Video releases: The Brenda Smith "Calfantasy" DVD is complete. I have no excuse for not having it in the store yet, but it will be taken care of shortly. Courtney and Rebekah are on the platform now, so we should know within a few days which one was completed first. With the new PC running, I expect to turn out several solid DVDs during the winter months.

Service update: I'm sure that you DVD customers have noticed a dramatic speed increase in the delivery of your orders. Switching completely to DVDs (away from VHS) and getting a professional duplicator have made my life much better and enabled me to turn those orders around must faster.

X-Zone: The news many of you have been waiting on is here - the X-Zone will soon be free to all members of FemFlex. We have not yet worked out the kinks, but expect to start seeing that content available to you within the next couple of weeks. As for the FemFlexZone.com domain, it will remain open, but all future galleries will be sold on a "photo set" basis, for people who do not wish to join FemFlex.com.

Upcoming: FemFlex640 will be open soon. This new site will feature nothing but hi-res (640x480) video content and limited photo galleries. It will actually be priced lower than FemFlex, but the updates will be less frequent. The site will feature several of the "mini-movie" type clips that have received great reviews so far. You can expect to see a lot of the old FemFlex content there in hi-resolution. Now, I don't expect anyone to be a member of both sites concurrently, but it will be a lower-priced option for a similar type of content.

FVF 2004: This year's edition of the FVF-Vancouver was the best-run show we've ever done. From the weigh-ins on Friday all the way through the awards presentations on Saturday, the event ran like a well-oiled machine. Unfortunately for us, however, a series of bad luck left us with the smallest number of competitors ever, but there was quality from top to bottom. For the first time ever, we separated the competitors into two physique categories - one for women who compete in bodybuilding/fitness/figure and the other primarily for women who work out, but not necessarily for physique competitions - in order to give the less muscular women a chance to be more competitive in the overall placings. This plan worked like a charm and I was left wishing we'd done this a few years ago when we started. Trina Gillis won the overall and Wendy Lindquist was the runner-up by just one point. Roseanne Blackburn, competing in her third FVF won the Fitness Strength competition, while Taryn Dakha won the fitness physique division. A special thanks to the crew at FitVilla - a USA Glamour Girls Production for their sponsorship and help in making the weekend so exciting and fruitful for the competitors. JP Erickson & I will no longer be promoting the FVF-Vancouver. Nancy Lockington of Purely Natural Fitness has agreed to take over the role of lead promoter and will guide the show into the future. Under her leadership, we are certain the FVF will be around for years to come and she's got the talent and desire to grow it into something really special. JP & I had a lot of fun with the project, but thankfully realized it was time to hand it over to someone who knows what she's doing. A special thanks goes out to Diana the Valkyrie who has helped make the whole thing possible the past 5 years. Without DtV, there would be no FVF, so I hope that she'll continue her support in the future. Be sure to check out the official FVF website for the most up-to-date information on the show and its related events.

Video releases: As some of you have noticed already, there are several new releases in the Video Store, highlighted by the 2004 "BodyRock's Best Biceps" and FVF-Arnold: "America's Best Biceps" DVDs. In the next month or so, you can expect to see Trina Gillis, 2004 FVF-Vancouver, Courtney Morley, Nicole Berg, and more.

Service update: Thanks to everyone for being so patient with your video orders. I'm just about caught up now and everyone should have received everything you've ordered within the next 1-2 weeks. If you're missing an order that is more than 4 weeks old, please do not hesitate to contact me at "trescott@yahoo.com" to check the status of your order and to get a speedy resolution. Recent shoots: I didn't do any shoots during the weekend of the FVF, but went to San Diego at the end of the month to work with Huong Vo, Sandra Ejnes, and Alicia Leombruni, three of the hot "Desert Divas" from Phoenix. Last weekend, I went to NYC and worked with the lovely Jamie Reed, who remains one of the most-requested models.

Upcoming: This coming weekend, I'll be in Atlanta for the GNC Show of Strength. I've got a few off-stage goodies lined up, but because I'll only be around for two days, the shoot schedule will be limited. There will be a lot of talent there that I just will not be able to work with and won't have anyone else there to do any shoots for us. Oh well. At the end of the month, I'll be in Las Vegas for the Olympia. I haven't booked anything for that weekend yet, but I'm sure some nice surprises will turn up.

I was unable to attend last weekend's IFBB North American Championships in Cleveland, but we had a couple of Femflex photographers on hand to cover the action. I haven't seen anything from the show yet, but have seen some samples from an off-stage shoot that you guys are going to love. I can't predict when that material will begin appearing, but it's worth the wait.

Unfortunately, I will not be attending the IFBB World Amateur Championships next weekend in Spain. The timing just wasn't good considering the FVF is this weekend, but I am scrambling to locate someone to cover it for us. No guarantees, but I'm doing my best.

This weekend is the annual FVF in Vancouver, and I'll be heading out tomorrow morning for that. Mindi O'Brien has retired, and newcomer Trina Gillis is looking to replace her as champion, but Wendy Lindquist has put all the other competitors on notice that this is *her* year. It promises to be a very exciting show and full results will be available by early next week.

The Video Store is currently closed due to all the travel and planning associated with the FVF. The new DVDs that I mentioned previously will be released when we re-open on September 21st.

Travel Log: This past weekend took us to Edmonton, Alberta for the 2004 Canadian Bodybuilding Nationals. The field of competitors was great and I've got to give props to head judge, Debbie Karpenko, for the excellent manner in which she conducted the prejudging. The heavyweight and overall titles were captured by Louise St. Pierre of Quebec, who is now featured in her own gallery here. It rained the entire weekend, but it was nice to see many of my Canadian friends again, including Mindi O'Brien and Trina Gillis. Along with Louise, other models were Autumn Raby, Trina G, Jamie Senuk, Antonia Grady, Jessica Oscroft, and 'FlexinGirl' herself, Nadia Nardi, who was definitely the most improved competitor from a year ago.

The host hotel was the Westin and although it was extremely convenient to the venue (which was NICE!), it was a little overpriced for what we got and meals at the restaurant were prohibitively expensive. The biggest problem for me was not having internet service as had been advertised by the hotel. That's so irritating and seems to be a recurring theme this year. Thumbs up to The Old Spaghetti Factory for serving up some terrific meals during our stay. You've gotta love a restaurant that charges just $13 CDN ($10 US) for a nice entree and then gives you four times as much food for just $2 more. That price also includes salad, coffee, and ice cream for dessert. If you do go, however, be sure to ask for Maggie (and tell Matt to go to hell! lol).

I don't travel again until FVF weekend (September 11th), and thankfully our host hotel - the Rosedale - does feature high-speed internet. As you might suspect, that was one of the factors that went into our decision to select them as our official hotel. It isn't the closest nice place to the venue, but it's got the largest rooms at the best price, something our competitors seem to appreciate. Even though Mindi O'Brien has retired, we're going to have a stellar lineup, as always.

I know that I owe you several 'diary' entries, but things have been beyond crazy around here during the month of August. In addition to the Dallas trip for the Southwest USA Pro (and NPC) show, I've also been to San Diego to shoot Debbie Bramwell. Prior to going to Edmonton, I was in the editing suite for several days and cranked out a few new titles that will be released shortly. Among those will be four separate contest videos from the Southwest USA (I've finished the first three already), and the 2004 FVF-Arnold: "America's Best Biceps" DVD is ready as well. I don't know what I'll begin work on next, but it'll either be Debbie Bramwell, Trina Gillis, Kristi Wills, or the 2003 FVF-Vancouver. If I can get back to that pace I had last week, I'll be able to turn all of these fairly quickly, so wish me luck.

VIDEO SERVICE UPDATE: The new software arrived yesterday, so the Colette Nelson workout DVD is now ready. Apologies to those who received a non-working copy or no copy at all, but those will all be shipped out this coming week. VHS customers for other titles should also be caught up next week.

The 2003 "BodyRock's Best Biceps" DVD is now ready. Floridian Kim Groppi was the overall winner, but she faced some very stiff competition from Melissa Kagan, Stacy Sugot, Yvette White, Jennifer Robinson, Jennifer Brown, Helena Jenkins, Heather Crowley, and many more. It will be listed for sale in the Video Shop by this weekend.

In answer to your queries, I'm probably going to denote the daily updates on the main page and then reserve this page for longer posts about various shoots, trips, or events. Of course, that could change at any time.

#1 Hard disk failure:
The biggest news right now is that the #1 hard drive is still down, and I've not yet decided which recovery shop it's going to. The major losses were the Chicago (Jr Nationals), Seattle (Emerald Cup), and Miami trips from this spring. There was a lot of other data on there, too, but it had either been backed up already or wasn't that important to me. Along with the data that's currently missing, another huge problem that results is that I'm once again cramped for HD space. That makes it difficult to manage the video editing, but I'll keep those updates coming. There's a strong chance that I'll purchase the replacement drives before the original goes into recovery.

FVF-BodyRock: BodyRock's Best Biceps a huge success
The quality of this year's FVF-BodyRock field was the best we've ever had, but Rachelle Cannon was the unanimous choice of judges Boomer and TomNine. Rachelle earned $500 for the win. She was followed by Marjorie Hunt, Laura Sutter, Michelle Burdick, Lauren Powers and Danielle Moskalenko (tied). This year's booth contest was sponsored by FemFlex with prize sponsorship in excess of $1000 provided once again by Diana the Valkyrie. Special thanks to Steve McAdams and the rest of the crew at the BodyRock for inviting us to be the showcase event on the main Expo stage again this year. Those of you living in the Washington, DC area should make every effort to get out to George Mason University to see the BodyRock next year. It's one of the top NPC regional events year after year and is worth the trip out I-66.

Muscle Mansion experiment goes very well
I didn't get to talk a lot about it beforehand, but FemFlex and HerBiceps teamed up this past week in Las Vegas and rented a house that became the base of operations for both sites. It was a nice touch and even though there were some logistical problems (we were far from the Strip and not all of the models had transportation, in addition to the almost 4-day delay in getting our internet hook-up), a good time was had by all. I didn't shoot a huge number of women, but had some premium models in, including Amber Black, Amanda Swallow, Michelle Baker, Anne Sheehan, Gerri Deach, Mary Hobbs, Kim Kilper, and Nicole Berg. I was also responsible for shooting the 'house video', which will feature scenes from practically all the shoots that took place in addition to fun stuff, such as Kim Becker playing poker for the first time.

HerBiceps and FemFlex helped sponsor Kim Kilper to get her to the show, so we booked her for a long session on Friday that rates as one of the best ever. I'd gotten pretty sick that day prior to her arrival, so Mike took her for about 3 hours so that I could rest up. When I finally woke up, Kim informed me that she was good to go and we shot non-stop for two solid hours and produced some incredible footage. The only thing we *don't* have is video of her lifting weights, as she came in a day before the weights arrived. This young woman is incredible, so you can count on seeing a lot of her in the near future.

The other video I shot features Amanda Swallow, who wasn't at all shy about showing off her strength and muscularity. She has quickly moved to my 'favorite people' list and it will be great to have her on board a year from now, as we'd love to have her living in the house with us for a week - she was awesome!

First up, congrats to Mindi O'Brien on her huge class and overall win at the Canadian Fitness Championships this past weekend in Brantford, Ontario. Complete photo coverage of the event is available here at FemFlex and as per normal, we were the first to provide such extensive coverage, as there were approximately 1000 shots available immediately after the show. Go FemFlex! In honor of Mindi, there have been 20 video clips of her posted in the past week, with still plenty more to come.

There have also been a few new photo galleries since the last 'News' update, and today's is Jody Wald, who recently won the Alberta provincial championship.

Thanks for all the great feedback you all have given about the site's new look. I think it's definitely an improvement to have a functional front page as opposed to a mere decoration. I'll just keep adding and adding to that page, until we reach critical mass. :) Be sure to check out the new DOWNLOADABLE VIDEO feature. This is a great way to get full-quality videos at a fraction of the retail price without having to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery by mail. I have to shoot down in San Diego today, but there are 3 new galleries up before I go - Trina Gillis, Courtney Shiflett, and newcomer Huong Vo. Congratulations to Trina on her recent 2nd-place finish in figure at the Alberta Provincials, where she and friendboyfriend Glen also took 1st place in pairs bodybuilding. We're operating on a short week here, as I have to depart for Toronto on Friday, but will get more videos up before I go.

The momentum is building again (can you feel it?), so let's keep things going with another set of clips from the Rebekah shoot. I'm working on some photo galleries right now that will be available later today.

Nicole Berg is an incredible young woman. I've worked with her several times in the 21 months we've known one another and each time, she just gets better and better, hotter and hotter. All kidding and machismo aside, however, she has become one of my 'bestest' friends in the entire industry and anyone who gets a chance to meet or work with her should definitely take advantage of the opportunity. As good and as beautiful as she is, she's still a down home ol' farm girl who is as pure of heart as any angel. She values others as much as she values herself and that's a quality that's extremely rare in the bodybuilding world. I wish Nicole nothing but great success in all that she wishes to do and I'm thankful that she's cool enough to let me ride her coattails just a little while longer. You're the best, Nicole.

I promised Nicole I wouldn't tell all our secrets from her weekend down here, but you've got to love a woman who says to me: "One of my goals for this summer was to get into (qualify for) the X-Zone." I did a quick double-take and then put my camera to work capturing her beauty in a way it's never been seen before. I have not yet posted a full gallery, but a couple of sample shots are available there now.

Day One with the vision of loveliness that is Nicole Berg was fantastic. We got some great posing footage and several nice photos at the coast during yesterday's sunset (followed, of course, but a *great* meal at Duke's!), and have another pretty full schedule planned today. I didn't get much sleep last night and I'm late (shocker) for our meeting, so I just put up a small free sample preview in the photo section. I do intend to do a video update late late tonite, after Nic departs. Enjoy your Fridays.

I'm not going to talk much about yesterday's shoot just yet, but there was a 'technical' problem that will leave me unable to post any of those shots on Femflex. But no worries, because today is day one of a special two-day shoot that could well top anything that we've done so far in June...and it's been a darn good month already! We're flying in one of the most gorgeous bodybuilders on the scene today for her very own Femflex Special Edition photo/video shoot. This one is guaranteed not to disappoint...she's definitely all that!

I put up five more FVF-Arnold clips just now, but probably won't get to update again until late Friday night. If I get a free moment this evening, I'll post some samples from the afternoon, though. Enjoy!

We've gone and done it again. Just when I think things cannot *possibly* get any better (look at the spring roster so far, if you need proof!), we've just knocked another home run...this time, all the way to Europe. Yesterday's shoot was with none other than new Swedish IFBB Pro Klaudia Larson, whose biceps will rank as some of the best you'll ever see. If there's an all-time top 10 list floating around somewhere, they'd better make room for Klaudia, because she's got the goods and then some, especially for the 'peak freaks' out there. Her U.S. appearance comes courtesy of James Cook of FTVideo.com and we thank James for hooking us up with Klaudia. She was a pleasure to work with and I'm really looking forward to her FTVideo release. For now, though, FemFlex members can catch a nice glimpse of this Nordic beauty in today's gallery update. There are another 800 figure pics now up. I've just returned from Chicago and have a ton of material from the weekend to sort through. The weekend's shooting schedule included FemFlex newcomers Amanda Swallow, Amber Black, Kim Kilper, Shelly Tauscher, Pam Franklin, and Andrea Trent, as well as old favorites Marcy Porter and Steph Collins. This weekend also marked the return of Sarah Dunlap, who shot for both FemFlex and the X-Zone. You're sure to enjoy that. A DVD of the weekend's shoots will be available at some point in the future, but lest I fall any further behind, let me get to work on this material right away.

Hey gang, sorry I didn't get to update the News yesterday, but hopefully you got to check out the final batch of Angie Salvagno clips. You'll notice that I re-did three of them at 640x480 with a bitrate of 1500 to improve your enjoyment. Unfortunately, due to bandwidth constraints and the fact that not everyone has broadband, it isn't feasible to make all the clips that size. Additionally, they're in MPEG-2 format, which I've learned that not everyone can view. I also added a small gallery of Texas bodybuilder, Sheilahe Brown. I don't know what's on top for today yet, but I suspect there will be a couple of new galleries both here on the main site and in the X-Zone.

Ok, how about six new Dani MPEGs and a gallery of Jordan Graham? Enjoy. I'm scheduled to head out to Chicago early Friday for the NPC Jr. Nationals. Well, it took forever to get there, but after several hours on the road, Barry and I reached "Dani's Place", which is a bicep lover's paradise. An enigma no longer, Danita Ross is now a part of the FemFlex family, and we've got a bunch of great new pictures and lots of incredible bicep flexing from a pair of the best I've ever seen. Many apologies for all the delays due to travel, but I assure you it will have been worth it.

Just got back from a rough weekend in Miami and I'm heading up the California coast for a shoot this afternoon. This could end up being one for the ages, but I don't want to get you too excited just yet. *wink* I'm probably going to need to stay put this weekend in order to catch up on material that's already been shot - I know I owe you guys a ton of updates already. The following weekend is the Jr. Nationals in Chicago, and I've got another solid lineup this year and we've enlisted the help of a couple of other photographers to assist with the workload. At any rate, a was able to get a few FVF-Arnold clips up last night and then there are four new Mindi O'Brien MPEGs up today. I don't get back until late-late tonite, but if today's shoot goes as expected, I'll *definitely* get a sample posted here for you to see. She's that good, folks - one of the absolute best.

Happy Memorial Day. There are a few new galleries up today featuring Evian Delly, Moorea Wolfe, and Allison Bookless. I shot Latisha Wilder earlier this morning and then just wrapped up a sunset shoot with Mari Kudla. These two pro figure stars just placed in the top 10 of the California Pro and looked fantastic. My only regret is that I couldn't shoot Latisha later in the day, but we managed to get some nice stuff, even without great lighting. I suffered a couple of injuries during the afternoon session, though, so I'm taking it easy for the next couple of days before heading out to Miami to work this weekend.

Four slightly overlapping clips from the new Crowd Pleasers DVD are up today. This video first came out over a year ago, but the DVD has several features not available in the VHS version, including chapter markers for the entrants, which allow you to skip forward to your favorites. It's about time we had a female muscle video that offered scene selection! Special thanks to David Cooper who filmed, directed, and edited the film for coming back and mastering the DVD as well. *deep breath* What a crazy weekend. I was jammed up on paperwork almost all of last week, but managed to catch a red-eye out to NYC on Friday night. Because of flight delays, I didn't get to NYC until after noon, which gave me just enough time to get to the hotel and then over to the venue for the Night of Champions. For the prejudging, my seat was near the front-center of the first balcony, so I had a decent view of the action. I was going to pass on the night show in order to watch Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Eastern Conference finals, but it wasn't on the hotel cable. Thankfully, pro competitor Lisa Aukland had an extra VIP seat which she gave to me for the finals, so I've got some excellent shots, thanks to her. You rule, Lisa! I personally did not like the fact that the Night of Champions promoter - Wayne DeMilia - chose to have the show open with a stripshow rather than the National Anthem, but that's just my take. I felt that it was grossly inappropriate, so my heart goes out to those competitors who paid good money to bring their families to the show.

On Sunday, I was able to do some great work with Annett Wittig, Jamie Reed, and newcomer Bettina Kadet. Be sure to let me know if you'd like to see a full-length video of Annett, as I could potentially combine this weekend's footage with what we shot last summer. Hmmm...

FVF-ARNOLD WINNERS ANNOUNCED: Congratulations to Jill Kolivoski, who won the FVF-Arnold: "America's Best Biceps" competition for the second year in a row. The competition was fierce, but she edged out Mimi Jabablee for the title. They were followed by Tara Scotti, Dena Westerfield, Lisa Miles, and Amy Vaughn. The prize breakdown: 1) $500 and a photo shoot in Malibu, 2) $250, 3) $125, 4) $100, 5) $75, 6) $50.

To mark the occasion, there are eight new MPEGs up today from the 2004 America's Best Biceps competition.

Regarding the weekend, let me first give props and thank yous to Team Gerri - Gerri, Nicole, and Rebecca - for working overtime to make my trip worthwhile. Regarding the show itself, I didn't see it, so I won't comment on it, but unfortunately you won't be seeing any coverage of it either. I will say only that Nicole won her class and the overall once again, so congrats to her. If the new restrictions on contest photography continue or spread outside of California, then contest coverage will just dry up altogether. Oh well.

I traveled to northern California for a show this weekend, but that turned out to be a huge mistake. I'll share the details later, as I've got to head to work now.

Whew - long trip back from NC yesterday, but I'm back in the groove now and working to get caught up on all those customer service issues, the biggest of which is the new billing system. I'm not sure when it will take effect, but it should be any day now. Anyone with a current recurring membership that has NOT been cancelled by Verotel will not notice any changes. This 20-year old physique prodigy is a former bodybuilder who first tried figure two years ago and since that time, she's completely refined herself and is now a threat to make some noise on the national level. This footage was shot the day after her class win at this past weekend's Emerald Cup in Seattle (Bellevue, actually) and she shows off some of the best arms and delts in figure.

We're starting off today with a new gallery from bodybuilder Courtney Shiflett. I couldn't believe how ripped she was for this shoot, so I'm bummed that we only had about 45 minutes together. I'm definitely hoping to meet up with her later this year. I didn't do any video during this shoot, but I hope to get some next time, because she's pretty sexy. I'm working on another gallery and a bunch of clips to put up later today, so be sure to check back in a few hours.

Ok, didn't get another gallery after all, but I'm sure the five new Nicole Berg clips will help some of you forgive me. *smile* This video was shot just one day after her overall win at the 2004 Emerald Cup this past weekend, so she looks incredible.

IMPORTANT SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: As you all know, we've been working our butts off to devise a new billing system ever since VISA clamped a new set of regulations on Verotel, which then led to almost all the VISA customers having their memberships cancelled since April 1st. At any rate, the new system is complete and it's being scratch-tested at this time and should be implemented here at Femflex on or about the 30th of this month. What a way to close out what has been a fantastic April - I didn't think it was possible to keep the hits coming after Moorea, Trina, and Kristi the Teacher, but being proved wrong by Courtney was an amazing experience indeed.

Greetings! I know you're all wondering what on earth happened to the updates over the weekend, but you'll have to accept my sincerest apologies as I was trapped in New Haven, CT with no high-speed internet access. I attended the NPC Jr USAs and although I enjoyed the competition, New Haven was a complete disappointment. I don't know how many of you live or attended school there, but at the risk of being somewhat offensive, I was let down by the city. Admittedly, my expectations were high - after all, Yale University is widely regarded as one of the finest institutions in the entire world - but I was astonished to discover that it is an urban campus and not located in the best of areas. The host hotel - the Holiday Inn at Yale - was under renovation and located in a downtown ghetto. Phone calls were 75 cents for 10 minutes, and there was no high-speed internet available. I stayed there one night then escaped to the Residence Inn a few miles away the following day. There, we had a lot more space (for the exact same price) and the area was much safer (all kidding aside, I'm not eager to put my personal safety at risk just to attend a bodybuilding show). The hotel was supposed to be on high-speed internet, but there was some snag in the connection and we never got it to work. Oh well, I'm home now, so I'll finally do an update before going to bed tonite. As always, thanks to everyone for your patience during this unforeseen and completely unintentional lack of updates. So much for my dreams of a perfect April. *sigh*

But lest you think I was soured on the entire weekend and came home empty-handed, there is a dose of good news. Kristi the Teacher has returned! Yes, it's true - FemFlex was able to book the adorable K-Dub for a semi-exclusive over the weekend (had to share with our good friend Gene X - we owed him a couple, now he owes us one! *smile*) and although we were beset by a serious technical issue that cost 45 minutes of shooting time, we made the most of the hours were did spend together and I'm extremely pleased with the results. It would be an absolute crime not to include her in tonite's update, so be sure to check out her new gallery.

The weekend's other models included: Colette Flack, Marcy Porter, Courtney Shiflett, and Huong Vo. All the women looked outstanding and props to Colette for winning the tall class in figure and to Marcy, who was the runner-up to overall champion Tara Scotti in the almost-tall class.

The news on the video front is that I'm planning to cut the Kirsten Haug video on Tuesday with plans to lay in the sound on Wednesday. That's the best I can attempt at this point, as I leave for Seattle and the Emerald Cup on Thursday. No promises, but I'll do my best to get it done while maintaining meaty updates as well.

With regards to the situation with Verotel and VISA, I've completed the first two waves of paperwork, but now must face the waiting game as they've got to send me another batch of forms by surface courier. I want this solved by month's end, but my desires might be sprinkled with a dash of optimism. My apologes to all who've been inconvenienced by this.

So, I'm going to commit to the FVF for today and tomorrow and will get started on Kirsten's video when I return from the Jr USAs in Connecticut on Monday.

After an incredible weekend behind the camera, I needed a break this morning, so I slept in a bit. I know some of you are probably thinking, "How hard can it be to take pictures all day?" but sometimes, it's not so much the shots themselves as what it is I have to go through to get some of them that makes this all so difficult. Yesterday afternoon's shoot, for example, required two separate (rocky) climbs to reach the desired location. Foolishly, I removed my shoes for the second portion - 1) to keep them dry (had a rough experience with wet shoes the previous day) and 2) to get better footing. What followed was 45 minutes walking and standing on some of the sharpest rocks my poor feet had ever experienced. I guess I should point out that I'd also misread the tide a bit, so that resulted in having to work a little bit harder to keep the camera dry. At any rate, when all was said and done, Trina and I got most of the shots we wanted out of that location, so all was well in our world. During the course of the weekend, we shot a full-length video, including a bicep-tricep workout, so I'll be excited to begin editing that later this year. Special thanks to Trina's mother, Gloria, and her friend, Glenn, for their assistance with the shoot. Special thanks also to LA Workout in Camarillo for the use of their facility on Sunday.

Today's new gallery is a special feature, as TomNine Photography brings us Amber Routten-Mitchell. I *may* be able to get up some clips later today, but it'll depend on what time I get out of here. I've been working on the sound for Mindi's video since I got in this morning, but the video PC just suffered a really bad crash, so I lost a couple of hours of work on that. I still hope to get it completed today, if possible.

Day 1 of the Trina Gillis shoot was fantastic. We're here in southern California and had *zero* sun on Saturday, but no one even cared, because the results we produced were just that outstanding. We are, however, *hoping* the sun will break through at some point later today.

YES! I finished cutting the Mindi O'Brien video on Friday afternoon. As planned, I got it down to 74 minutes, which includes an interview, a workout, and some humorous out-takes along with the finest flexing you've ever seen. I will begin laying in the sound on Monday morning and expect to finish the project either late Tuesday or early Wednesday - the DVD will be ready for release the following day.

I threw up a small gallery and a clip from the first Trina Gillis shoot to mark her arrival here in L.A. Ok, so we're not really *in* L.A., but she flew into LAX. lol

The final set of MPEGs from the '03 FVF-Arnold is up today. I'm hard at work on Mindi's video for the next few hours and then I've got to prep for this weekend's big project. We're bringing one of our favorites out here for a well-deserved California shoot, so I hope you all will enjoy the results. With regard to questions about the 2004 FVF-Arnold video, I haven't even looked at the raw footage for that video yet. Right now, it's at the back of a very long line, but that DVD will be available sometime in the coming months.

Video Update: After months of delays, the Mindi O'Brien video is now on the editing platform. I've cut the first 40 minutes of the finished video and have the whole project down to 83 minutes. I'm hoping to pare it down to no more than 75 minutes before release, but there's just so much good material here. If tomorrow is as good as today, I'll be able to finish cutting it and will then just have to go back and lay in the sound. That's at least a two-day adventure, so that would mean this will be ready on Tuesday at the earliest. I've got a major shoot lined up for this weekend, so Friday through Sunday will be spent entirely in the field.

There are eight more MPEGs from the 2003 FVF-Arnold up today. I don't have any photo galleries ready yet, but may have a couple of new offerings later today. For now, enjoy the video clips.

The COLETTE NELSON DVD IS NOW READY! We've finally got Colette Nelson's newest posing video - "A Taste of Sensuality" - ready and available on DVD. This is Colette's hottest-ever posing video and was shot completely on location at the FemFlex/HerBiceps Penthouse Studio in Las Vegas this past summer at the time of the USA Bodybuilding Championships, so Colette is in top shape and ripped to shreds in this video. She breaks out nothing but her sexiest outfits for the viewers this time around and even gives us a scene in the shower. This is a can't miss for diehard C-Nel fans and for the casual fan of sensual female muscle, this is one you will definitely want to add to your collection. I can't say enough good things about this video - fresh off the presses and it's already one of my favorites.

FemFlex has done it again. Guys, we're on an absolute roll here and as I see it, the only problem with that is that we've got nowhere to go but down. j/k I'm sorry there was no update yesterday, but fate intervened after all and I was able to get to Phoenix first thing Sunday morning (and yes, there were cars!). On a personal note, I met Jackie Paisley on Sunday, and she still looks as good as ever. I doubt she was an ounce over 7% bodyfat...just incredible. I got to shoot some workout footage with Colette Flack and newcomer Evian Delly, who has one of the cutest bicep peaks you've ever seen. I hope you like her, as I have plans to do a lot more with her in the future.

As good as Colette and Evian (love that name) were, I think it's actually the Moorea Wolfe shoot that's going to amaze you guys the most. I've been around this business for a long time and rarely have I ever seen someone this good at such a young age. The pictures may appear to tell a different story, but in truth, she *just* turned 19 about three weeks ago. First Trina, then Shelby, and now Moorea? It just doesn't get any better than that, folks...enjoy the new gallery of Moorea that goes up today.

On the News side, I spent yesterday shooting with some incredible fitness hotties: Laura Mak, Fawnia Mondey, Jaime Koeppe, and Jacqueline Finnan, who organized the shoot for a new website that she will be launching later this year. While Fawnia, Jaime, and Jacqueline were getting pedicures at the salon, I got the chance to meet and speak briefly with actress Jessica Alba, who is definitely one of the most beautiful women I've ever met. Ordinarily, this would've been no big deal, but it was an interesting coincidence in that I had photographed one of her body doubles (Taryn Dakha) earlier this year.

Not sure what's happened with the galleries the past two days, but the Trina gallery is viewable now. I'm going to give the system yet another whack and Shelby should be available soon. Today's update will have some other stuff, but check back in around 2pm EST for that.

In today's update, there are four new clips of Canadian bodybuilder, Nadia Nardi, who is one of the most entertaining women you'll ever meet. I'm still working on the Shelby pics and cannot answer the question as to why they aren't showing up. Today's news is both good and bad. There are four great new Mary Lynne clips up today, including one (#3) that should go immediately to the FemFlex Hall of Fame. The downside is that this is the last of that footage and the book is now closed on Ms. Mackenzie in terms of video. :(

We only got to speak for a moment, but with luck, I'll be able to see her again this spring or summer, hopefully with my cameras in hand.

Note: Just so there's no misunderstanding, there was no trouble at all between Mike of HerBiceps and myself at the Arnold. We've worked together on a number of projects over the years and more importantly, we've remained great friends the entire time. Our joint events at this year's Arnold were highly successful, and I suspect we might team up on other things in the future. The problems I alluded to over the weekend concerned other in-house drama, such as our photographer being stopped at the border and denied entry into the U.S. At any rate, the weekend's over now, so at this point, it's all about getting this new material processed and delivered to you guys.

She comes to us courtesy of Joe from flexinfemales.com, who devoted most of his day on Sunday to doing this shoot for us. After a year of requests, we've finally made a video shoot happen, so you can look forward to seeing that in the very near future. Along with the posing is a nice gym segment as well, so I'm sure that's something you guys are going to enjoy. And that, my friends, is just the tip of the iceberg...

I ended up getting about 90 minutes of sleep, but as you may have predicted, I did miss that early flight this morning. By stroke of good fortune, however, the later flight actually arrived before the earlier one did. I'm back home safely now, but will not be able to begin updating the site once again until tonite. There's also a *lot* to report on, but I'll need some time to organize all my thoughts and impressions from the past week. Big props to Tom Knowles of tkfemuscle.com for all his assistance this weekend, and a *very* special "Thank You" to Mari Kudla who made the whole thing happen for us this time around. More later.

Monday the 8th, approaching midnite, and I'm *still* in Columbus. I've been here longer than any normal person should, and it's really (past) time for me to get back home now. Let's hope that I'm not so tired that I end up oversleeping and missing my 6am flight. Thanks to TK, I was able to go ahead and return the rental car tonite, so that should save me about 15-20 minutes in the morning. Thanks for being so patient about the lack of updates during the time I've been away, but of the 20 shoots completed this weekend, 18 were new to FemFlex, and several of those have never been seen before on any site, so it will have been worth the wait. All this new material, and I had barely begun posting the stuff from the big shoot *last* weekend up in Canada. Needless to say, we've now got a significant new photo backlog on top of the *old* photo/video backlog we've had for quite some time.

There's been a lot of drama in Columbus this year, but our joint event(s) with HerBiceps is now in the books. It's hard to put all of my thoughts and impressions into words at this time, so comments will have to wait until later. I will say I'm glad that Saturday is now over - winners of the FVF-Arnold will be announced within another week or so, but I do not know when the winners of the HerBiceps Physique Talent Search will be announced. I have a very long day tomorrow - there's a little gallery of Sheilahe Brown up now.

Important Service Note: It's been brought to my attention that only two of our current DVDs - FF-04 & FF-05 - are playable on all DVD players. I am in Columbus until next Tuesday (09 March), after which all the other DVD titles will be re-rendered in the exact same manner as the Bonny and Jody DVDs. I apologize for the inconvience caused by this error, but every effort will be made to correct this situation ASAP. I estimate that all titles will be updated and available by 16 March.

Happy Leap Year: I've just this evening returned from the most grueling shoot I've ever endured - 20 hours behind the camera with about 30 minutes worth of break time the entire day. I had a great time and managed to get some good work out of it, so the trip was definitely worthwhile. We *really* need to get her for a full-length video, especially so that the leg guys can get more of what they're asking for. lol I'll be arriving in Grande Prairie, AB sometime this evening and the first shoot is scheduled for 10pm. If I'm not too spent afterwards, I'll attempt to get online and post a mini-report. I've been bad about that lately - did you guys even know I'd also shot with Jodi Miller and Sharon Kestler in addition to Sheilahe Brown went I went to Dallas the other week? I'll attempt to do a better job of keeping you all informed about matters like that, especially considering that members had been requesting more workout footage for about a year. Well, we now have more!

Vancouver report: 48 hours, 16 women, a couple cups of coffee, and one giant Sex Expo added up to one great weekend in Vancouver. This time around we've added a ski racer, a television actress, and a professional figure skater who worked as the body double for Jessica Alba on the show "Dark Angel". You'll also see old FemFlex favorites such as Ocean Bloom, Sandy Vu, Carlene, Zoa, Danijela Crevar, Wendy Lindquist. Although all these shoots were for the X-Zone, we did scoop some great talent for the annual spring mega-shoot for FemFlex coming this April.

Today there's a new gallery featuring coverwoman Mari Kudla, and a free mini-gallery of Marika Johannson (it's on the "Photography" page, but non-members can view them as well). There's also a large new gallery (over 200 images) of the middleweight class of the 2003 NPC Nationals on the Contest page. These are just draft shots, however, and not up to the normal standard set here at FemFlex. You can expect a return to the good ol' days at the upcoming Ms. International competition.

I return home in the morning, but have had an incredible weekend here in Vancouver. VIDEO UPDATE: After several months of depressed creativity, I have finally gotten going with the video editing again. The first release of the new year is a joint venture with USA Heavyweight Bodybuilding Champion Colette Nelson, and FemFlex viewers will be able to get an early glimpse of the first volume of her Hardcore Workout Series. The next release of 2004 is another joint project with Colette, and is one that is sure to excite the senses, shall we say. Cutting on this new video has already begun and as it gets closer to completion, I'll be able to provide an anticipated release date. Following the second Colette video will be the long-awaited Mindi O'Brien video. There is a lot more to come in 2004, so stay tuned and enjoy the ride! Thanks to everyone for supporting the site.

In response to the 29 different emails I've received in the past 3 days concerning a recent post on the FemFlex.com site, I have not moved. FemFlex has moved, but I have not. I live in the same residence I have since, um, May. Whereas I used to do everything from my home office in Camarillo, that space was outgrown and I now have a commercial office space in the next town over from mine (Newbury Park).

There was no interruption of service for FemFlex subscribers, nor can you expect one in the near future. The broadband connection was already up-and-running prior to my moving any computers to the new location.

FemFlex.com continues to be hosted by DtV - that has not changed, nor are there any plans to change.

I appreciate everyone's concern and I hope this answers all the questions put to me so far and any others which may come up regarding this issue. Apologies for not emailing everyone back individually, but I figured a couple posts here and on DtV would cover everyone.

FEMFLEX Has Moved! FemFlex.com is now in its new office in Newbury Park, CA. The computers and all data have been moved over, so we're back in business. Thanks for everyone's patience - I predict good things for 2004. Several great shoots and trips are already lined up, and we'll be kicking things off with a hop to the Internext Expo in Las Vegas next week.

In today's update, you'll find video clips of none other than JILL KOLIVOSKI. Jill has been bodybuilding for quite some time, having won her class at the 1999 NPC Collegiate Nationals, and has built her biceps up to a mighty 16 inches. And she's only 24 years old - amazing, just amazing. She won the "America's Best Biceps" competition earlier this year, and in these clips, you'll see why. There are also a couple of new photo galleries - Latisha LeBourgeois and Marnie Fargo, a former Canadian star who hasn't been seen in quite some time, yet still has a very hot look.

I know a lot of you are wondering what happened to this weekend's updates, but FemFlex had a little surprise brewing and I didn't want to spoil it. For the first time, we brought a model out here to California for a weekend shoot and were able to get some of the most amazing pictures you will have seen on FemFlex (and also the X-Zone) up to this point. Miami! - It was a long weekend, but this year's NPC Nationals were one of the best ever - the first galleries are up on the contest page. As far as the FemFlex photo shoots are concerned, we were able to photograph a total of seven new faces - Janet Kaufman, Anita Nikolich, Melissa Babers, Jaime Shires, Linda Cancel, Stephanie Collins, and Kristi Wills. We were also able to do a follow-up shoot with Angie Salvagno, our first video model from almost one year ago. With respect to when photo sets/video clips will be released, I'll let you tell me whether you'd prefer to see maybe one new model per week (meaning that it might be late January before some of this weekend's material appears) or whether you'd prefer more new faces sooner rather than later (meaning that you'd see every model sooner, but there would less material of her).

There are some new Debbie Bramwell MPEGs up today, including one that's almost five minutes in length at an incredible resolution of 640x480. It's a 69 MB download, however, so even those of your with high-speed connections are looking at several minutes of download time. Those of you with dial-up connections may wish to set it up to download overnight. It's a long wait, I know, but the quality is certainly worth it as you can view it at full-screen size with your 17-inch monitors. I will be making more of these high-res clips available, but as you might expect, they are quite a bit more costly than the standard version.
