FF-09: 2002 FemSport Valkyrie Fest (FVF-Vancouver)
The traditional FemSport Valkyrie Fest had 32 entries in '02 and
the talent pool was deeper than ever before. In just its third year,
the FVF has quickly become North America's finest fitness, strength,
and physique competition. This show saw the introduction of the
new FVF-Figure division and also the Tug-of-War, a one-on-one competition
that turned out to be the biggest hit of the day. With over $5000
in total cash and prizes at stake, the competition was more fierce
than ever before. Fitness star Mindi O'Brien captured the physique
title, but bodybuilders Steph Park and Danet Seely proved too much
for her in the strength round. Would anyone be able to match up
with 5-foot-10, 216-lb April Zaveta in the tug? There was almost
too much action to squeeze into one day and you get to see it all
